Protection Case Management brings together learning from emergency settings and a service model based on social work principles to provide support to people at risk of violence, coercion and deliberate deprivation in humanitarian settings.

This revised Your Guide to Protection Case Management is meant to support organisations to deliver quality programming, and provide technical guidance to case workers, supervisors, program managers and humanitarian leadership on the full program cycle.

Developed with the support of the Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance at USAID by the Norwegian Refugee Council and the International Rescue Committee through an inter-agency process, the final guidance has been endorsed by the Global Protection Cluster.

Each module is targeted at a different audience, and each includes associated references, tools, annexes and forms. The guidance can be accessed as one document or in modules as seen below.

The modules included are:

  • Module 1: Introduction to Protection Case Management
