The protracted crisis across the north-eastern BAY region (Borno, Adamawa and Yobe states) continues to see a deteriorating humanitarian situation, with 7.8 million people in need of assistance. The crisis has started affecting other parts of Nigeria, including the north-western states of Sokoto, Zamfara and Katsina, and the central states of Plateau, Benue and Taraba.
