Proof of identity

When people do not have papers that show who they are, they may lose many of their rights.

When people are forced to flee, they often don't have time to bring along anything apart from the clothes on their backs. Identity papers are often left behind or lost along the way. Without identity papers, displaced people lose many basic rights in the places they flee to. They can lose the right to receive medical help, to give birth at a hospital, go to school or to work.

For €45, displaced families can obtain the papers they need.
